Hello. What we do.
Calgary web designers that work with you and for you. We work primarily with non for profits, post secondary, small businesses, or people looking to take control of their website. We love fun challenges, and we can provide you with multiple options to fit your budget and your needs. Many people exclaim "I didn't know you could do that!" Just ask us, we probably do.
Check out some of the designs we have worked on.
CMC Research Institute
With task of taking a existing design and making is mobile friendly, it can sometimes be more work than coding from scratch. Such is the case with the CMC, but in the end we got it functioning on all sizes of screens.
This Project Management training company needed something robust to fit in their plans for training up new PMs. So we helped them out with stage one of their website to get them started, we also redid their logo to better reflect their mantra.
Calgary Drug Treatment Court
We helped give the CDTC website a face life with adding new banners, a mini infographic and some much needed content updates. This non for profit does such great things but on a very small budget, so we worked it out to do an update within their budget. We also created a mailchimp email newsletter to keep people up informed about their successes.
We worked with Youth Unlimited in Lacombe on a multitude of projects, including a video promo as well as marketing for their events. Dessert/comedy night, golf tournaments and their quarterly newsletter. We love encouraging work with youth and missions trips, these people do great things.
The Bra Lounge
We have done some really fun marketing with these ladies in past years, but our favorite is still the car wraps for the sisters. They each drove around Red Deer with opposite color branded cars, if you happened to see them zipping around, don’t worry those aren’t real bras falling out of the hatch.
We got the opportunity to work on print, branding, bill boards, online presence and trade shows. But these remain our favorites.
We got back to our roots with this project, both our parents grew up on farms but farming has changed and is now attracting a younger crowd wanting to get back closer to nature. Farm On is doing some incredible work, and we were happy to help them create some promo and fundraising documents.
Healthy Birth Choices
Some of the best ways to advertise lately has been with mobile advertising. Driving down Deerfoot and seeing some great design on vehicles makes my day better in a traffic jam. We designed a wrap for this lovely company, highlighting their educational childbirth classes. With a featured blue sticker that could be switched out often for their new promos.
We just can’t seem to get enough of learning, especially in our own lives! You may think that your stationary package isn’t that important, but try putting all your elements side by side to see if it matches. Mountain View Adult Learning Society knew it was important to appear matching and put together, so we worked with them to update their branding. We developed custom letterhead, business cards, posters, and cover page for them. To keep it easier on their budget we also designed the template in Publisher so they could easily update and create as many as they need.
Motherless Daughters of Central Alberta
Losing anyone is a great sadness, and this organization’s aim is to support and unite women and girls in coping with loss. We’ve tried to captured the loneliness of heartbreak and loss of losing a parent.
Olds and District Hospice Society
Doing a identity design for a hospice society was a touching experience, trying to stuff all the care and support shown by the society represented into one logo is hard. We liked the other logo options so much that we just had to show them to you as well, so many great ideas for such a great cause!
Medicine Hat College Animation
Medicine Hat College was looking for a way to celebrate the convocation of their students as their parents walked in the door and found their seats on the big day. Graduation is a big deal when you’ve finally gotten through all those years of hard work. We helped them create a great ambiance with this animation, what a fun way to celebrate the day.
Medicine Hat College Calendar
This project was close to my heart as a MHC Alum, we had the opportunity to do a few projects for this Post Secondary. We created a calendar gift, which featured beautiful photos of around the campus, as well as a poster that highlighted staff members for their contribution.
Lawna Mackie Author book covers
We created a book cover for Paranormal Romance author Lawna Mackie, book two of a great series. We make authors marketing materials as close to their wishes as we can, even going so far as reading the books. Lawna once stated that we stole her creatures right out of her head, her mind is fun to be in. Illustration and 3D modeling were used to help create these book covers.
Lawna Mackie Author
As an author you are expected to market yourself quite well in the online community, so it’s important to have good branding everywhere. If your readers can get a feel of your books by seeing your materials it can entice them to read your work. As much as we hate to admit, we do judge a book by it’s cover. We created a website, book trailer, book covers, pop ups and print materials for Lawna that gave a strong feeling of style of writing.
Lawna Mackie book trailer
We created a book trailer for Lawna’s “Impossible to Hold” Paranormal Romance. This was written, voiced, animated and videoed by us…yup we can pretty much handle it all. Book trailers are all the rage currently, and we can do simple to more complex like this beauty for authors wondering how to get one. Book trailers are made to generate interest, followers, and as a marketing tool for Authors.
Book now sold under a new name “Storm God“.
Bollseye Tradeshow Presentation
We worked on this fun presentation in Power Point, it can be a really powerful tool for self run or speaker guided presentations. Presentations should be dynamic, but also help highlight your main speaking points. The slides shouldn’t talk for you, but they should reinforce your points while you present. This particular presentation allowed viewers to experience the golf products features while being self running at a trade show.
Lawna Mackie promo table
Yes…we made Lawna Mackie’s creature into a stuffed animal, it felt a little like Frankenstein. Even a promo table at a writing conference needs a little bit of marketing to speak for you when you’re not around. Her creature did the talking with a great little give-away and QR code marketing campaign.
