QR codes, going deeper…
A while ago, I wrote a post about QR codes, this is just the beginning, and I still feel this way. Since I wrote my last article, I have noticed that larger companies such as Best Buy is using codes, in their in-store advertising, give you more information about a certain product that they have on sale. There are theaters using it to promote their website from within the theatre, there are tv commercials with QR codes in them (this will be another blog post on that subject) I also have heard that airports are using the 2d barcode to scan your ticket without you having to go get your ticket or print it, you can get it scanned right from your smart phone.
This, to me, just tells me that if larger companies are embracing this technology, then its not just a quickly fading fad. (wow, say that 10 times quickly) Seeing the way local marketers and business owners of Calgary and Red Deer are currently using the QR codes, I feel we don’t quite get its full potential, yet. We are barely scratching the surface on this, and I intend to help educate you on this subject.
Please check back soon, as I will have some more posts on the subject, of how a small business can utilize this technology.
